Apprenticeship Program
About the Program:
The Apprenticeship Program by DBFA, in partnership with Diaco-Care (Germany) , offers young, committed individuals from Rwanda the opportunity to train and work in the fields of nursing or Heilerziehungspflege (support for people with disabilities or special needs) in Germany.
Interested youth submit their application to DBFA. The required documents are:
High school leaving certificate, preferably in the field of sciences (Biologie), with good grades
Motivation letter
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Church Recommendation Letter - issued by the legal representative of the applicant's church
The church must be a member of CPR, UEM or the Biblical Society
The letter must confirm the applicant's active church membership
It must be signed and stamped, including the official contact details of the legal representative
German language certificate at level B1 (must be completed before applying)
Supporting documents (optional), e.g., proof of volunteering, leadership roles, or social engagement
DBFA conducts a pre-selection process based on motivation, maturity, discipline, openness to intercultural learning, and long-term goals.
Shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview conducted by DBFA and German partner institutions. If successful, the candidate enters the next stage of the program.
